Paul *** From Mark: NEW MUSIC PROCESS: I hope everyone has had a chance to figure out the new process for getting music and learning tracks. Going forward, these will be posted on the Commodores member site (MNCOM.ORG). If we are unable to post something on our website (society arrangements) we will make those available to you as we've always done. As was mentioned a few weeks ago, if you are unable to access the site and/or don't have the capability to download the learning tracks to your own device of choice, you need to find someone in your section to partner up with. If you have any questions at all about how to access the site or how to find someone who can print music and create a learning track for you please ask. Note from Mankato: We got a very nice note from Jeff Grimmer of the Mankato Riverblenders Chorus: "The Mankato Riverblenders would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your wonderful performance on the contest stage. You are a real inspiration for families and barbershopping. It is fantastic to work with a group that is so into singing and having good clean FUN!!!!" *** From Dan Smith: Greetings! We plan on starting the 6 part Glad arrangement of "And Can It Be" on Tuesday. The chart and a 4part recording are on our private web at www.mncom.org . We plan on learning tracks later. Thanks, Dan Smith *** From Dan Cole: New Recruits: Let's use those flashy new business cards and to bring a new guest to a chapter meeting. All voice parts are welcome. Use your church bulletin board, grocery store boards, ask a stranger, "Do you sing?" and they say yes, give them a card. If they want us to perform for them, give them a card and tell them to contact Peter Jarnberg. We've got new music, let's get some new members. 20/20 Fund Club: Still taking new members and renewals at the low price of $20. Dan Cole *** From Doc: So far I have only 46 reservations for Ladies Night/BOTY. In the recent past we have had as many as 120. We should have at lest 80 to 200. Get your reservations to me ASAP, please. If you choose not to come for dinner please come for the celebration a 7:00 PM. Your participation will make it extra-special for this year's honoree and his family. This is a special once-a-year event that you will, most assuredly, regret missing. Chord-Inator deadline will be later this month to accommodate the announcement of the 2010 Barbershopper of the Year. The deadline will be Wednesday, June 2. Please be prompt. Thanks, Doc *** From Rich: SUNSHINE HOTLINE 952-829-7009 ddongna@usfamily.net Roger Arent’s daughter Cindy has been fighting an aggressive form of lymphoma over the last 6 months. She is now recovering from an implantation of stem cells donated by her sister. Her health is slowly improving as her body adapts to her new immune system. Roger and his wife are spending a few weeks with her in New Jersey. Cindy needs our thoughts and prayers for a successful recovery. Also remember Paul Wigley as he completes his final week of radiation treatments. Please keep me informed about our sick and ailing members and remember them with your cards, calls and prayers. Rich Ongna *** Next Board Meeting: Thursday, May 20 at Wooddale Lutheran Church 7 – 9 PM Please let me know of any changes to your e-mail address. Thanks Mike Hojan, The SWIPE Editor
