The bow ties will match our current vest colors – red, gold, teal or royal blue. At one of the side tables, there will be a list of the chorus members, by part. Please fill in your vest color TONIGHT, so we can get these ties ordered for the show. The cost will be $5.00. Thank you. *** From Doc: The Chord-Inator will be distributed tonight. In the event that they are not labeled, I will ask each of you to sign the receipt sheet (LEGIBLY) at the distribution table when you take (one) copy. If they should be labeled they will be distributed in the usual manner by ZIP code. Thanks. *** From Diana and Carl: Annual show tickets are available for pickup tonight. Please read the instruction sheet on top, then sign and return the white sheet to either Diana or Carl. We have only issued tickets to 40 Commodores. What about the rest of you guys!!! The money we make from the show is one-half of the Commodores annual budget. You have 5 weeks, so sell your tickets. Those of you who haven’t gotten any see Diana, order tickets and sell them. A word to the wise. Get the ticket in the hand of the customer and get the money immediately. They won’t back out if they have the ticket. Please make an effort to get your Christmas music and folder turned in. We’d like to close that chapter for another year. 10,000 Lakes Division – Quartet Coaching Clinic Saturday, March 27 (a week after our show) there will be a quartet coaching clinic in Stillwater, MN from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If your quartet is interested please check the LOL website for information *** From Rich: SUNSHINE HOTLINE 952-829-7009 ddongna@usfamily.net Please remember our “injured reserves” with your cards, calls and prayers. Please keep me informed about our sick and ailing members. Rich Ongna *** Dear Commodores: Travis and I want to thank The Commodores and the Four Seasons Quartet from the fullness of our hearts for the extraordinary effort made by you to sing at Loren’s funeral Thursday evening. Loren has been involved in Barbershop harmony with The Commodores since the 1950’s and his interest in and compassion for this hobby along with a deep respect for his fellow singers were dear to his heart to the very end of his life. He was so proud to be associated with you. He often said, “It is great to be a Commodore”. A special commendation to Jim Richards for his determination in arranging “Goin’ Home” which yielded a rich blend by the Four Seasons; a warm thank you to all of you. A special thanks to you The Commodores under Paul Wigley’s direction whose voices filled the church with wonderful harmony. The tribute and remarks by Roger Arent and Doc Hardin Olson conveyed Loren’s essence; thank you so much. We plan to donate something useful and suitable in Loren’s memory to The Commodores with the memorial funds received. Thank you guys as well as wives for your unwavering support and encouragement during these last four-plus years of Loren’s battle with multiple myeloma. We are so grateful. Everyone’s generosity of spirit has been written on our hearts and fused in the memory of our beloved husband and father. Sing-cerely, Norma and Travis Wuttke *** Next Music Committee Meeting: Monday, February 8 - HOP 7 – 9 PM Next Board Meeting: Thursday, February 18 at Wooddale Lutheran Church 7 – 9 PM Attendance: January 26 - 67 Mike Hojan, The SWIPE Editor Lakeville, MN
