Barbershop withdrawal is setting in! Paul PS- how do members retrieve learning tracks off the website? Is there a different website than our main Commodores site? (if so, we need a link) Thanks to anyone that answers this…extra credit! *** From Dave: Before we know it the annual show will be upon us. Besides learning our music and taking care of all the other show preparations, we need to fill the house! We all have different personalities. Some people have no difficulty approaching people for ticket sales and sponsorships whereas others tend to be a little shy. Overall, someone should want to come to our show because it is fun!!! We have an excellent musical repertoire/theme for the show and 2 outstanding quartets. If people like to laugh, they will certainly walk away from this show with smiles on their faces. Sometimes if you have a written document in front of you to establish good reasons why someone should buy from you, it can be much easier. I put together an attachment to the SWIPE just for this purpose. An idea that some members use (not shown in the attachment) is that they will buy some tickets and give them away. Their goal is to get repeat customers for the following year. Hopefully they will appreciate the high level of quality and value. If one decides to take that approach, one may be able to write this off as a tax deductible contribution. Just a thought! Good Selling!!! Dave Speidel *** From Rich: SUNSHINE HOTLINE 952-829-7009 ddongna@usfamily.net Please remember our “injured reserves” with your cards, calls and prayers. Paul Jahnke is recovering at home after his back surgery on January 4. He tells me he’s experiencing quite a bit of pain at this point. It’ll probably be a couple weeks before he’s back with us but he’ll be learning his music at home. Mary MacLaughlin, Dale Lynch‘s S.O. is back at her own home now functioning from a wheel chair. Good thing she’s venturesome as I suspect Dale is offering to be her chauffer. Shirley Retter‘s (Glenn’s wife) doctor has given her permission to go back to work part time. It may be several more months though before her strength is 100% again. Please also remember Loren Wuttke, Romana Jorgenson (Jim’s wife), and Paul Wigley in your thoughts and prayers. Please keep me informed about our sick and ailing members.
