Music Learning: Everyone has been informed that this month we are learning Puttin’ On the Ritz and the Polka Medley. Next month we will start Wonderful One and Steppin’ Out With My Baby.

I can tell you from first-hand experience that you will not learn this music by simply putting it in your CD player and listening to it once or twice before rehearsal.  You need to sit down with the sheet music, listen and look at the music several times, and THEN start singing along with it.  This will put you on the fast track to getting off the music.  This is going to require 10-15 minutes per day outside of rehearsal!  We have a ton of music to get through this fall and your dedication to learning the music is extremely important - so please make the time so that we can have more fun at rehearsals!

Chord-Inator deadline is Thursday, September 24.  Let's have another one like those of the last two months.

Those who will be singing Saturday at St. Joseph Church, please pick up the information sheets at the side table.

We will meet at the front of the church at 3:30 p.m.  Wear your Commodore golf shirts, tan trousers and brown shoes.

One last note, the swine flu situation appears ominous. If you should feel you are becoming ill, it is best to avoid contact with others.  Stay home!  In the meantime wash your hands frequently and use hand sanitizers when you have the opportunity.
