The SWIPE MINNEAPOLIS COMMODORES www.minneapoliscommodores.org March 24, 2009 From Paul: Hi guys! Congratulations to all of us on a great show! I really heard a lot of great comments…and the most meaningful was from my wife, who really loved it! (And we all know that wives can tend to be more honest than we’d like them to be….tough critics!) Here’s the plan for Tuesday night: 7:30 vocal warmup 7:45 What a Wonderful World 8:05 When I’m 64 8:20 When You Wish Upon a Star 8:40 B/B 9:00 Memory/Impossible Dream (if music available) 9:20 Zip A Dee Doo Dah 9:30 Bare Necessities 9:45 Battle Hymn 9:58 KAS/KTWWS A couple of oldies to sing thru! Paul *** From Gary: Congratulations... "Another Barbershop Miracle"... Just kidding, you guys worked hard for this show! It tells me that we have the talent to produce an excellent musical product. I'm guessing that there wasn't anyone that felt nervous on stage Saturday! You all looked very comfortable up there. Thanks to all who contributed to making our show a success. The only down side I felt... was when I saw the "Sponsorship List"... Guys we can do better! This is one area we need to tackle. These Sponsorships can provide our Chapter with another source of income. With International Coming up... let's go out and line up 2-3 thousand $. It can be done. We also need to do something "Special" for Diana Pinard! She works so hard for our Chapter. When you get a chance tell her. Thanks again to Paul, Dave Speidel, and the rest of the Music Team for your dedication. It's Great To Be A Commodore. Gary Jacobson *** From Doc: What can I say other than a heartfelt thanks to all for making the show what I hoped it would be… and that we are so fortunate to have Diana, Carol and Judy working so hard for us. Now we have to start thinking about how to make Steppin' Out a greater success next March 20. Chord-Inator deadline is Thursday, March 26. DON'T BE LATE! Thanks, Doc *** From Mark: Please see the attached information regarding our travel to Anaheim. 10,000 Lakes Division Contest - The Division Contest is this coming weekend (March 27 & 28) in Stillwater. If you have a chance, it would be great to have a lot of Commodores in attendance and providing support to the quartets and choruses who will be on stage. You'll also get a chance to hear lots of great singing for a very reasonably priced ticket. Thanks.
