Paul *** From Mark Ortenburger: Joe Barbershopper Class: Bruce Odell is presenting his almost world famous "Joe Barbershopper" class in Bloomington, March 7th. If you haven't had an opportunity to attend his class I would highly recommend it. Please sign-up on the sheet at the table if you're interested. There will be a nominal charge and lunch will be included. The organizers are not yet sure about how much space they'll have but hopefully there will be a way to get in everyone who's interested. Anaheim: Within the next few weeks I hope to have some additional information out to everyone on the International Convention. I'm waiting to get the specifics on hotel arrangements (dates, deposits, etc.) before I do that. If you have any questions in the mean time please feel free to ask. *** From Doc: Time is fleeting. How about having Minstrel Montage and Beach Boys off the paper next week. Surprise Paul and lower my blood pressure. Chord-Inator deadline is Wednesday (That's tomorrow!). Get to work. Lower my blood pressure even more! Hardin *** From Carl Pinard: ANNUAL SHOW TICKETS: - Pick up your tickets tonight. - Sign and return the WHITE ticket issue form. - Read suggestion & procedure form attached. - SELL you tickets - Complete and turn in the PINK ticket order form if you haven't done so. - Remember to identify to whom you sold each ticket. This is a Bethel requirement. - Annual show tickets will not be issued to certain individuals until their Christmas Show tickets are taken care of. - If you are a new member, or an old member, and don't understand the ticket procedure, please see Diana. There are reasons for everything we do. - Many of you, over half, have not ordered any tickets yet. Gentlemen, the Annual Show is our chapter's main financial support. It brings in over half of our required income if we all do our part and sell over 2000 tickets. We have about six weeks to accomplish this goal. The chapter is working on ways to provide some financial support to the membership for the International Convention. Falling short on ticket sales will sabotage these efforts significantly. Please make every effort to give us a full house for which to perform. Thank you. DISTRICT PICTURES: The following individuals need to stop by the table to pay for and pick up their pictures: Glenn Aronson, Ron Ketterling, and Paul Swanson Thank you. A great gift to send to a loved one on Valentines Day or a friend saying thank you. We have 7 quartets from the Commodores signed-up to deliver singing valentines, but we need our members to sell/buy a valentine. I challenge every member to sell a valentine. Only $39 for a singing valentine - a gift that keeps giving! The quartets want to go out and sing, let's help them by selling! See Neal Mortenson or Peter Jarnberg. Happy Valentines! *** From Dave Casperson: Guys, we've come to the end of the week and no Youth Festival registrations have been received (although I finally did receive the sheet music). We will be postponing the festival, and I will let you all know as soon as I have arranged an alternative date. I will discuss this with the music committee and hopefully I will get some feedback from high school directors regarding when would be a good time to do it. Thanks to all of you who signed up on the volunteer crew - please keep it in mind for our re-scheduled date as well. You are now free to clear your calendars for February 7th.
